SB Patil Insitute for Dental Sciences and Research was established in the year 1991 under the leadership of the Chairman Dr. Suryakanth G Patil which was a dream of Late Shri.Dr.Galangalappa Patil. This college and hospital was established provide a quality oral health care to the people of Bidar and quality education to students of this region. Since 1991 more than 900 graduates have earned their degree and have been practicing dentistry not in different parts of Karnataka or India but are present throughout the world.

SB Patil Institute for Dental Sciences and Research is recognised by Dental Council of India, Government of India and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru, Government of Karnataka.
