About The Subject

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a branch of Dentistry and recognized international surgical specialty which deals with correction of wide spectrum of diseases, injuries and defects in the head, neck, face, jaws and hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region.It is a recognized international surgical specialty and it is one of the nine specialties of dentistry.
Department is well equipped with required surgical instruments, UG section with enough number of dental chairs ,Dental Implant section ,Minor OT, Major OT, Separate male and female wards , recovery room, Separate sections for sterilization ,& Biomedical waste disposal.

Teaching Methods

The department has got well trained and dedicated faculty who teach the students enthusiastically. The students are trained with discussion and demonstration on the models, clinical discussion and allowed to work on patients under direct supervision. Students are also trained to assist the faculty for minor /major surgical procedures with case discussion, seminars/Poster presentation.
